We absolutely love our school, but don’t just take our word for it. Check out what others are saying!

St. Stephen’s Presbyterian Day School is a place where children are actively involved in learning while engaged in purposeful play. Every classroom embodies the definition of developmentally appropriate curriculum with caring teachers that nurture each child. Each class is set up with an abundance of hands on activities, opportunities to be involved in dramatic play, books to read and explore, and art activities to create, all at age appropriate levels. The outdoor playground and the ample outdoor playtime each day is highlight of St. Stephen’s that sets it apart from other preschools. I am impressed every time I visit St. Stephens…full of happy children and enthusiastic teachers.

Even before I set foot inside St Stephen, I knew I was going to love it. I had heard such wonderful things about the school from other families and I knew it was the perfect fit for my own. From the time we toured the school and every moment after, our family was welcomed, included, and nurtured. The size of the school has allowed each teacher to know my children by name and to interact with them with regularity. The play-based approach to learning is developmentally on target and has helped my children explore, imagine, and create in purposeful ways. We are so thankful to be part of a school that recognizes and values the wonder within every child!

SSPDS has been a huge gift to our family. All three of our children have benefited from the intentionality, simplicity, play, and stimulating learning provided by the teachers and administration. The personalized care and attention within each classroom has met each of our children in their unique personalities, strengths, and needs. Our two ‘preschool grads’ (so far) were well equipped for elementary school — and as parents we have been blessed to have such great support during our kids’ very formative years
